My approach to therapy is warm, non-judgmental, and deeply empathetic. I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support and guide you with evidence- based strategies tailored to your individual needs.
I am a registered psychologist with a Master of Science in Counselling degree (MSc) from the University of Calgary. I have been practicing in Calgary for over a decade and have professional experience working with adults dealing with concerns, including post- traumatic stress symptoms, anxieties and phobias, depression, postpartum mental health, chronic pain, recovery from motor vehicle accidents, and stress management.
Before my clinical practice, I worked with interdisciplinary research teams at Dalhousie University and the Cumming School of Medicine (University of Calgary) studying how medical conditions, such as neurological disorders, impact mental health. This experience provided me with a strong commitment to make sure the therapy I provide is grounded in research, goal directed and delivers meaningful outcomes for clients.
I am trained in various modalities, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
