Marie Trottier
I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. In my experience as a therapist I have worked with youth, adults and couples who are experiencing emotional challenges, relationship issues and personal struggles. I provide therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, workplace stress and life transitions. I will help you to navigate these challenges and will work with you to find ways to thrive more in line with your desires.
I recognize the value of positive psychology with a solution-oriented, and problem-solving approach. I believe in helping clients to access their personal resources and wisdoms to achieve their goals. I see therapy as a process to help people who feel stuck in their life journey, and who, with support, are able to move through the barriers toward fulfillment and growth. I will work with you to learn necessary skills that address problematic cognitive and behavioural patterns and help you manage your distressing emotions by implementing effective mind/body techniques.
I am trained and experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Conflict Management. My therapeutic style incorporates an integrated perspective that draws from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy and other proven therapeutic approaches, blended to meet individual client needs.
I also have a special interest in counselling youth who are making critical decisions related to career development. An important element in this is helping to create career and educational pathway map or guide. For those more seasoned in their careers, but looking to change, I can work with you to explore your options and set a plan that fits with your life situation.

Wallace Dudley
It is not uncommon that people will encounter unplanned or unwanted life circumstances that become overwhelming. Often, this happens suddenly, but sometimes through a gradual build up. This can result in a sense of unraveling, disappointment, sadness, or of crushing fears. The causes of this are personal, but often develop out of accidents, injury, trauma, losses, bullying, harassment, loneliness, and so on. I assist my clients to help bring a sense of stability and perspective to these situations, and to assist with healing and recovery. My typical clients tend to be adults, or near adults, who can benefit from a safe place to work through the challenges they face.
I have learned that not all people benefit from the same therapeutic approaches. I tend to begin therapy by fully listening, and trying to hear not only what are/were the circumstances causing the difficulties, but also to understand the full impact. This provides a basis of understanding about what is needed, and informs decisions made together about how to help. I often work from a cognitive behavioral perspective, and am trained in a variety of modalities in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and depression.
I was trained at the masters and doctoral levels at the California School of Professional Psychology, with completion and first registration in the late 1990’s. I have been practicing in Alberta since 2005, and previously in BC. I became owner of Psychology Plus in 2018, after several years of practice in rehabilitation psychology, and disability psychology. I have also worked consistently in private practice over the years and have worked in a variety of settings with youths and adults.
